Madison is a Los Angeles/New York-based journalist covering psychedelics and cannabis. She is co-founder and managing editor of DoubleBlind, a biannual print magazine and digital media company covering psychedelics and all they intersect with, from healthcare disparities to the climate crisis. Madison’s work has been featured in Playboy, Rolling Stone, Vice, LA Weekly, High Times, Nylon, Quartz, Tablet, The Progressive, Times of Israel, and other publications. She began her journalism career with a column on cannabis at the Village Voice before transitioning to a news writing position with Vice and freelancing for national publications. Having traveled from cannabis farms in the Emerald Triangle to the shores of the Ganges, and all over Israel-Palestine, she’s focused her reporting on plant medicine. Notable stories include an in-person profile of Raphael Mechoulam (first in the world to isolate THC in 1964) for Tablet, and a feature for Playboy on how healing from PTSD (with the help of psychedelics) is vital to the peace process between Israelis and Palestinians.
